Where Paystride is headed
We publish this the same way we publish everything else here - plainly, and without pretending to know exact dates for things that depend on a tax authority we don't control.
Where we've come from
Every version below has actually shipped. See the full detail on our What's New page.
Time tracking foundation
Clock in/out, HR approval of hours, job-site geofencing, and shift scheduling.
Scheduling that works the way teams actually plan
Employee-proposed shifts, fill-a-whole-schedule-at-once tools, and a notifications bell for HR.
Full payroll runs
Preview pay for every employee, run payroll, open any past payslip, and safely void and re-run a completed run.
Chat and support, built in
Direct lines between HR, System Admin, and employees, plus a real ticket queue for reporting issues.
Support requests reach us instantly
Contact-form and issue-report messages land straight in our support dashboard, with an email safety net if any go unread.
Cumulative year-to-date tax, and the next four countries
A more accurate way to tax mid-year raises and bonuses, plus the first draft tax packs for Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Mauritius, now in internal review alongside the South Africa calculator that has been live since launch.
How to read the dates below
Work that's entirely up to us gets a real target quarter. Work that depends on confirming a tax figure with a revenue authority or a local accountant doesn't get a date we can't actually promise - it gets an honest place in the order instead.
That's why Now and Next carry a targeted quarter, and Later doesn't - it's still the direction we're building toward, just not something we'll pretend to have a date for yet.
Where we're going
Country coverage, real feature gating, and the pricing plans that depend on it.
Feature switches that actually switch something
Time Tracking, Payroll Automation, Leave Management, Advanced Reports, and Multi-Currency move from a settings toggle that does nothing to one that genuinely turns a capability on or off per company.
A straight answer on MFA
Either it gets built for real, or the switch comes out of Settings until it is. Nothing stays on the screen pretending to work.
A payroll audit-trail viewer
Every payroll action is already being recorded behind the scenes. This is where HR and System Admin get to actually see it.
Mauritius payroll, verified and switched on
The most straightforward of the three pending packs - live once its numbers are confirmed against Mauritian tax rules.
Zambia payroll, verified and switched on
Live once its one disputed tax bracket is confirmed with a local source.
Multi-currency payroll that actually calculates
An exchange-rate pipeline behind the scenes, so an employee paid in a different currency than their company's home currency gets a correct payslip - not just a toggle with nothing behind it.
Report exports and real charts
CSV and PDF export, and proper charts, on top of the reporting already available today.
New pricing plans go live
Free, Starter, Growth, and Enterprise - with limits genuinely enforced by the switches above, not just words on a pricing page.
Zimbabwe payroll, verified and switched on
The most complex of the four - it's really two tax calculators in one, since Zimbabwe runs both USD and ZiG payroll side by side.
Single sign-on
So larger companies can use their own company login instead of a separate Paystride password.
Direct sync with accounting software
Starting with Xero and QuickBooks.
Direct e-filing and bank-file export
Filing straight with each country's revenue authority (SARS, ZIMRA, ZRA, MRA), and generating bank files for same-day-deposit payroll runs.
A faster way to add the next country
A research-and-draft pipeline for new tax packs, so a fifth and sixth country don't each take a from-scratch effort.
A fully-managed option
For teams that want their payroll run for them, not just software to run it themselves.
Plans grow alongside this roadmap
Free, Starter, Growth, and Enterprise plans roll out as the capabilities behind them go live - a plan will never promise something the product can't yet do. Country pricing is set to fit each market, not one global number.
